Parameters for distance control
When electronic probe systems or sensors are used, distance control (e.g. touching a curved surface of a plate) or height control (e.g. compensating for thickness tolerances of the workpiece) permits actions such as movements in the Z axis. These actions superimpose the programmed position of the axis when an NC program is interpolated.
![]() | Distance control is currently only available for SERCOS, Profidrive or CANopen drives. |
Settings relevant to distance control can be defined using the following axis parameters. For descriptions in greater detail, see [FCT-M3].
As of CNC Builds V3.1.3080.12 or V3.1.3107.44, the following parameters are available using the structure kenngr.dist_ctrl[i].
Structure name | Index |
.dist_ctrl[i]. | i = 0 (only one distance control available in per axis) |
Previous access using kenngr.distc continues to be provided for compatibility reasons.
