This quick start guide describes the basic commissioning of the ASI8100 in TwinCAT 3 using the TwinCAT 3 Drive Manager 2.

Refer to chapter Commissioning in advance.

The quick start guide is not exhaustive.

Each chapter builds on the previous chapter. Proceed step by step in the given order.

TwinCAT 3

TwinCAT 3 software is divided into various components.

  • TwinCAT 3 development environment, TwinCAT 3 Engineering (XAE), for configuring, programming, and debugging applications.
  • The TwinCAT 3 runtime environment TwinCAT 3 Runtime (XAR) is divided into additional function-specific components (base components and functions). The basic components can be extended by functions.

    Depending on the product, additional functions may be required!
  • Install the software in the required setup version on your target system.
