EP2338-2002 - Introduction
The EP2338-2002 EtherCAT Box has eight digital channels, each of which can be operated either as inputs or outputs. It is not necessary to configure whether a channel (pin 2 and pin 4 of the M12 sockets) is to be used as input or output. The input circuit is permanently connected to the output driver internally so that a set output is also automatically displayed in the input process image.
The inputs have a 10 µs filter. The outputs process load currents up to 0.5 A, are short-circuit proof and protected against polarity reversal. The sum current of all outputs is limited to 4 A. The connected sensors are supplied via US. The current is limited to 1,4 A. The signal state is displayed by LEDs; the signal connection is established via screw-type M12 connectors.
