Choose a suitable SFP for the remote station: Check data rate, encoding, wavelength, fiber type, range, connector type and BiDi pairing if necessary.

Check the thermal power budget: Evaluate current consumption or power loss of the SFP and ambient temperature.

Set the rotary switch to the desired mode. Setting is applied when the device is restarted.
