Measured value noise

If you set a higher measured value resolution than the factory setting, the measured value will be noisy. The setting of the measured value resolution is described in the chapter Measured value resolution.

Minimize noise

You can minimize the measured value noise with the following settings:

• Reduce the measuring range.
  Select the smallest possible measuring range "Range" that covers the accelerations expected in your application. See chapter Measuring range.
• Disable the measured value filters of the box to be able to set the sampling rate (chapter Measured value filter). Filter in the PLC instead.
• Select the sampling rate as low as possible; necessarily lower than the EtherCAT data rate (frames / sec). See chapter Sampling-Rate (ODR).
