FluidPower Axis
A hydraulic axis can be designed as either a valve-controlled or a pump-controlled drive. To solve this, a special configuration of the standard axis is used in the MC3. The hydraulic axis can operate with several types of position measuring systems and actuators.
Adding a hydraulic axis works on the same principle as a standard electric axis:
In general, the FluidPower axis is capable of controlling both the position and the force or pressure of the hydraulic axis. The block diagrams and a supplementary description for each control system can be found here:

What makes the solution integrated into MC3 unique is the ability to implement and automatically record the system characteristic curve. This is connected downstream of the position or force/pressure controller, thereby eliminating the system's nonlinear properties.
