Development environment

The development environment of the TwinCAT HMI consists of the following windows:

• Solution Explorer
• Document Outline
• Designer
• HMI LiveView
• Toolbox
• Properties
• HMI Configuration
• Gallery Explorer
• Server Configuration

The development environment can be configured via global settings. To do this, click on the tab Tools in the menu and select the entry Options.

Then navigate to the category TwinCAT - HMI Environment. There you can change the default settings of the HMI development environment.

Changing the default settings of the development environment applies globally to all instances of the development environment and cannot be saved on a project-by-project basis.
