Extended Status-Byte
The extended status byte (ESB) contains information on the state of the KL8001, and is transmitted from the terminal to the controller in process data mode.

Key
Bit | Name | Value | Description |
---|---|---|---|
ESB.7 | Rated operation | 0bin | An overload or underload has occurred, or the motor has been switched off because of overloading. |
1bin | The power terminal is in nominal operation. | ||
ESB.6 | Motor left motion | 1bin | The power terminal's Out2 output is set. |
ESB.5 | Motor right motion | 1bin | The power terminal's Out1 output is set. |
ESB.4 | - | 0bin | reserved |
ESB.3 | SW error information | 1bin | The status word contains error information. Evaluate the status word! |
ESB.2 | Overload motor STOP | 1bin | The power terminal has switched off the motor, because the current integral (data register DR7) has reached the maximum value. This bit will only be reset when the switch-on protection phase has elapsed, and the bits for motor control (ECB.5 and ECB.6) have been reset in the extended control byte. |
ESB.1 | Underload | 1bin | The current in at least one of the phases has fallen below the specified underload threshold (parameter registers PR38, PR44, PR50). |
ESB.0 | Overload | 1bin | The current in at least one of the phases has exceeded the specified overload threshold (parameter registers PR37, PR43, PR49). |
