Freely programmable characteristic curves
To connect a resisitive sensor with a characteristic curve that is known to the application side but not implemented in the EL32xx-xxxx, the characteristic curve can be entered in the terminal via one of four different options.
Each linearization and each NTC/PTC characteristic curve can be implemented within the measuring range. The suitability of the different implementation procedures depends on the sensor type.
CoE entry in 0x80n00:19 | Characteristic curve type | PTC sensors (e.g. Pt100, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni1000,...) | NTC sensors |
---|---|---|---|
0x110 | RTD table/sampling points table | X | X |
0x111 | B-parameter equation | - | X |
0x112 | DIN EN 60751 equation | X | - |
0x113 | Steinhart-Hart equation | - | X |
Select the procedure for the channel in CoE entry 0x80n00:19. Please note that for each procedure only one parameter set can be stored in the terminal, which is then available for all channels.
Example: two sensors are connected to channels 1 and 2. Both are to be linearized with the B-parameter equation. The two sensors have to be "identical", since it is not possible to specify different sets of B-parameters for channels 1 and 2. The same applies to the lookup table.
