Lookup table (0x80n00:19, Entry 0x110)

The required characteristic curve for a PTC or NTC sensor can be stored as a table in CoE 0x8001. It can either be loaded directly from the PLC into the CoE, or the user can enter it in the startup list for the terminal as an XML file. The entries from the TwinCAT startup list are automatically written to the terminal whenever EtherCAT starts.

In general, the lookup table has the following structure: a temperature is assigned to the corresponding resistance. The temperature increment must be constant. Linearization is performed between these steps.
A maximum of 100 interpolation points with a maximum measuring range of 0...240 kΩ are permitted.
The exact structure of the lookup table is explained in the CoE overview rand additionally in a sample file (Download: ZIP) for a Pt1000 sensor.
The sample file illustrates the structure of an XML file to be imported. An Excel file (Excel 2010 format) for creating an XML file is also included. Explanations on how to use the Excel file can be taken from the attached description.

The XML file can be imported directly via the Startup field and activated via “Activate configuration”.
