Transport and storage

WARNING

Serious injuries due to damaged distributed servo drive systems

Damage may result in hazardous voltages being present on the housing or exposed components and can lead to serious or even fatal injuries.

  • Protect distributed servo drive systems from damage during transport and storage
  • Follow the conditions for transport and storage

Notice

Loss of warranty due to disregard of transport and storage conditions

Failure to observe the conditions may result in damage to the distributed servo drive system and void the warranty.

  • Observe the conditions in the following chapter for transport and storage

Notice

Damage due to moisture in the distributed servo drive system

Condensation can form during transport in cold weather or in the event of extreme temperature differences. If the distributed servo drive system is not completely dry, condensed water can lead to a short circuit when switching on and damage the product.

  • Make sure that no moisture accumulates in the distributed servo drive system
  • Adjust the room temperature slowly
  • Only switch on the distributed servo drive system when it is in a dry state

Notice

Damage due to removal of the protective cap

The yellow protective cap on the shaft protects against mechanical damage and environmental influences. If you remove the protective cap, the shaft may be damaged.

  • Do not remove the yellow protective cap on the drive shaft
