Validity

As part of the certification process, the TwinCAT Power Control product with product number TF8360 was tested. The controller core is implemented by the TwinCAT Power Plant Control module, which is named TcPowerPlantControl in TwinCAT.

Certification in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4110, 4120, and 4130 was first granted in September 2025 and published as FGH-K-2025-002. A revision of this certificate, including additions for additional embedded PCs and covering version 0.1.5, was issued in October 2026 as FGH-K-2025-002-1. The following sections describe the tested functions and components.

The use of TwinCAT Power Plant Control as a PGP controller is permitted only in the hardware and software combinations covered by the type approval. In addition, the boundary conditions (e.g., measuring transformer accuracy, communication interfaces, operating environment) of the components must be strictly adhered to and verified during commissioning. License-based restrictions on platforms

The TwinCAT Power Plant Control must be run exclusively on certified Beckhoff Embedded PCs when used as a PGP controller. This is verified through the licensing of the
TF8360 | TwinCAT Power Plant Control product:

• The license is limited to TwinCAT platforms 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60.
• These platforms represent the devices approved in the component certificate.
• The TwinCAT licensing mechanism prevents execution on other platforms or third-party systems.
