Serial EtherCAT Terminal

The serial EtherCAT terminal is entered into the system under a EtherCAT coupler.

Serial EtherCAT Terminal 1:

Then the input and output data is linked with the corresponding PLC variables (of types EL6inData22B bzw. EL6outData22B).

Serial EtherCAT Terminal 2:

The new configuration is activated, and the system is restarted.

The serial settings are typically already set in the system configuration in the CoE of the EtherCAT terminal.
Recommended is the insertion of these values into the startup-list to facilitate a hardware exchange.

The serial settings can be configured via CoE at run time too.
