FIR axis filters provide the user with the possibility of smoothing the axis setpoint curves for drives to minimise machine excitation.

Various filters are selectable as FIR axis filter:

• Moving average filter
• Gaussian filter
• Windowed sinc filter
• Time delay filter

Parameterisable filters are effective with:

• Linear axes.
• Rotary axes without modulo calculation, i.e. those that have a limited motion range (see P-AXIS-00015).
• Rotary axes with modulo handling, i.e. with endless rotation.

Only one filter per axis can be enabled at a time. A filter is only effective when a filter order > 0 and a filter type are assigned.
