Homing type (P-AXIS-00299)

There are two different homing methods:

  1. NC-controlled homig
  2. Drive controlled homing

At NC-controlled homing the generation of the command values for the drive and the sequence control (evaluation of reference cams and zero pulses) are handled in the CNC, at drive controlled homing this is done in the drive.

For drive types for which both homing methods are implemented with this parameter the homing method can be set up.

Homing type (P-AXIS-00299) 1:

If a homing method is set up which is not supported by the drive type an error message P-ERR-110384is issued and P-AXIS-00299 is corrected automatically. If this entry is not present in the parameter list the default homing type is set according to the drive types default homing type.
