Process image

Process image 1:

Terminal Overtemperature
Indicates that the internal temperature of the box is above the limit value. (default 80 °C, CoE parameter 8000:14)

Note: From firmware 03, the chopper is disabled above an internal temperature of 80 °C, regardless of the above limit value. See “I2T error”.

I2T error
Indicates that one of the following errors has occurred:

  • The temperature of the braking resistor is above the error limit value. (default 120 °C, CoE parameter 8000:19)
  • The internal temperature of the box is higher than 80 °C. (from firmware 03)

In both cases, the chopper is disabled unless the overtemperature shutdown is disabled. See chapter Overtemperature protection.

I2T warning
Indicates that one of the following cases exists:

  • The temperature of the braking resistor is above the warning limit value. (default 100 °C, CoE parameter 8000:18)
  • The internal temperature of the box is higher than 70 °C. (from firmware 03)

Overvoltage
Indicates that the voltage UP is above the overvoltage limit value. (default 50 V, CoE parameter 8000:11)

Undervoltage
Indicates that the voltage UP is below the undervoltage limit value. (default 22 V, CoE parameter 8000:12)

Chopper on
Indicates that the chopper is active. The braking resistor is currently converting electrical energy into thermal energy.

Overcurrent protection
Indicates that the chopper has been disabled due to overcurrent.
See chapter Overcurrent protection.

Input cycle counter
A 2-bit counter. It is incremented each time the input data is updated in the process image. After it reaches its maximum value of 3, it jumps back to 0.

DC link voltage
The measured value of the voltage UP. Unit: mV

Resistor Current
The measured value of the current through the braking resistor. Unit: mA.

Duty Cycle
The current mark-to-space ratio of the chopper. Unit: %.

Optional process data objects

You can optionally enable the process data object “BCT Load” in the process image. The procedure for enabling can be found in chapter Temperature of the brake resistor.

Process image 2:

I2T load factor
The current temperature of the braking resistor. Unit: °C.
