The EP6228-0044 IO-Link master module enables the connection of up to eight IO-Link devices. These can be IO-Link box modules, actuators, sensors or combinations of both. In addition, the EP6228-0044 offers eight further digital inputs and outputs on the eight Class A master ports. The IO-Link sensor supply (L+) and the digital inputs and outputs are supplied by US, the sum current is limited to 16 A.
The EtherCAT Box is parameterized via the EtherCAT Master. The parameterization of the IO-Link devices with service data can take place from TwinCAT via ADS or, very conveniently, via the integrated IO-Link configuration tool.
In the default setting, the eight C/Q channels of the EP6228-0044 work as IO-Link channels. Each IO-Link channel can also optionally be used just as an input or output channel.
The L-coded M12 power supply connectors offer an increased sum current of the EtherCAT Box so that all IO-Link ports and inputs/outputs can be operated with the maximum current.
