Configuration
In order to exchange process data cyclically between the EtherCAT master and the CC-Link master, these must be created. The entire configuration and all settings are carried out via the EtherCAT master on the EL6711-0010 CC-Link slave terminal.
With the inclusion of the EL6711-0010 in a TwinCAT project, the way in which the process data are to be added must be defined. See the chapter Selection of process data, especially the subchapters.
Key points:
- Only process data of type UINT16, UINT8 and BIT are permitted
- The CC-Link specification and its limits must be observed
- The points under "The following Predefined PDO Assignments are available for selection" from chapter Predefined PDO Assignments must be taken into account.
The procedure for adding process data is always the same; the PDO assignment is irrelevant.
- Right-click on one of the PDO assignments and select Add New Item….
- In the Insert Device window that opens, select the required data type, name, number etc.
- Several variables of the same type can be declared simultaneously via the Multiple selection box, and a defined start address can be set. Once the above dialog is confirmed, the process image shown in the next step appears
- The variable names are incremented automatically, as shown here. Output variables are created accordingly.
Apply step 2) analogously to the other PDO assignments.
