Oversampling settings in the "DC" tab
The basics of the oversampling function and the operation of the EL5031-0011 with the use of the SYNC0 pulse are explained in the section "Basics of the oversampling function".
The following chapter describes the setting of the various parameters with the Beckhoff TwinCAT System Manager.
In the "DC" (distributed clocks) tab, the oversampling factor and the size of the process data can be set in the selection dialog (see following figure):
Oversampling factor:
- n = 1 ... 50 according to the selection displayed under "Operation Mode".
Size of the position values:
- "Standard": 64 bits per position value
- "Compact": 32 bits per position value
The oversampling factor n = 1 with a 64-bit position value ("Standard") is set on delivery.
When an entry is selected in the dialog, the correct sampling ratio at distributed clock level and the correct number of process data to be transmitted are set automatically.
