Intended use of the EL5021

The EL5021 is designed for frequencies that remain constant or do not change abruptly.
A bouncing signal, such as can occur with a touch probe, causes frequency jumps ("glitches"). The maximum frequencies that occur and the high rate of frequency change can be outside the operating range of the EL5021. Since these distorted signals are no longer recognized by the terminal, they cannot be evaluated and interpreted as a possible error.
