Diagnostics

The output of the frequency error as process data "Frequency error" occurs when the max. frequency limit f_max valid for the respective resolution range is exceeded, see chapter Position determination.

The output of the amplitude error as process data "Amplitude error" occurs if the sin/cos signal has too low voltage. This can be used in a suitable position for cable breakage detection.

These errors are counted in the CoE object 0xA000 "ENC Diag Data" and can be read out via SDO access from the PLC as well.
