Commissioning
The EL3681 appears as follows after scanning/applying:
- Complete process image: Inputs, feedback and control
The terminal operates in Mode 0 (voltage DC) and Autorange.
As soon as PDO Control.Disable AutoRange = TRUE, PDO Control.Range becomes effective and determines the measuring range.
If the terminal is to be controlled by the CoE, PDO Control must be disabled. For further information, see chapter “Process data” - Voltage measurement DC because PDO Control.Mode = 0
- INT32-PDO: Resolution 1 digit = 1 µV
- Display in the CoE:
- Display of (exemplary) 5V in the PDO Inputs.Value:
- Display of the measuring range currently selected by the terminal in the CoE, here for 5V:

Notice | |
Quasi-static signal required in AutoRange mode The AutoRange function requires 8 measured values in the same measuring range for the measuring range decision. If the input signal changes too quickly (e.g. square wave signal 0/5V, 1 Hz, filter enabled), it cannot make a measuring range decision, the measured value freezes (TxPDOToggle - Index 0x6000:10) - unchangeable). |
The following sections contain further information on the terminal's parameterization options.
The order of the following explanations follows the internal data flow.
