EL3351 - Introduction

The EL3351 analog input terminal permits direct connection of a resistor bridge in full bridge circuit. It acquires the bridge voltage UD and the supply voltage UREF of the bridge with a resolution of 16 bits each as a separate electrical channel and transports the channel information via EtherCAT to the supervisory controller.
The measurement result can then be calculated on the control side by measured value = UD/UREF. The exact acquisition of the supply voltage together with the bridge voltage in a converter compensates for long-term and temperature drift. The EL3351 contains a 5V supply for the full bridge, alternatively an external supply can be used.
