Settings and application notes for EL3208-0010

The EL3208-0010 is designed for multi-channel RTD measurements in the range -50 ... +150°C. In order to be able to offer 8 channels on 12 mm, it supports 2-wire measurement.
To ensure that unavoidable lead resistances are of little consequence, sensors R20°C >> 100 Ohm are implemented here. A side effect of this design is the measurement capability for resistors up to 1.3 MΩ.

Like all EL32xx terminals, it has two evaluation options:

• Measurement of the resistance, transformation according to choice and output as temperature [°C].
  The terminal automatically selects the appropriate electrical measuring range.
• Pt500/1000, Ni1000
• Various NTC (up to max. 1.3 MΩ)
• B-parameter equation (up to max. 1.3 MΩ)
  
  The temperature output of this terminal is limited to approx. -50 ... +150°C depending on the sensor, for range limits see in the CoE overview.
• -Measurement of resistance and output as resistance [Ω].
• 4 measuring ranges (called "potentiometer [poti]") with
  Resolution 0.1 Ω / digit: Measuring range 0 ... 6,553.5 Ω
  Resolution 1 Ω / digit: Measuring range 0 ... 65,535 Ω
  Resolution 10 Ω / digit: Measuring range 0 ... 655,350 Ω
  Resolution 20 Ω / digit: Measuring range 0 ... 1,310,700 Ω
  
  Note: the INT-PDO Value is to be interpreted in these modes as unsigned 16bit UINT with 0 ... 65535 digits.
• 1 Measuring range "1/16 Ohm" with
  Resolution 0.0625 Ω / digit: Measuring range 0 ... 2,000 Ω
