Technology
The EL2502-0010 output terminal modulates a binary 24 V signal in the pulse width, i.e. changes the duty cycle. The output frequency is configurable for each channel.
Thanks to the implemented distributed clocks functionality, the terminal is able to switch the PWM output on or off or change its state by means of the transmitted timestamp.
Using the "DC Immediately" function, you have the option of using
- "DC Immediately" = TRUE
to abort the currently running PWM output after reaching the specified timestamp and clock out with newly specified parameters or - "DC Immediately" = FALSE (factory setting)
to adopt the new PWM output parameters only after completion of the current period.
The peripheral side of the electronics is electrically isolated from the internal E-bus, and therefore also from the fieldbus.
The process data resolution of 16 bits is converted to the hardware resolution of 10 bits inside the terminal and depends on the selected operation mode.
For a description of the operation, see chapter "EL2502-0010 Commissioning and operation".
