IO-Link system communication
The Beckhoff IO-Link masters are divided into two services.
- On the one hand, they act as an IO-Link master for the connected IO-Link devices;
- on the other hand, they act as an EtherCAT slave in relation to the PLC TwinCAT master.
The system communication is shown in the following illustration.
