Types

The basic CPU module can be ordered with different hardware and software options. Use this overview in conjunction with the information on the name plate to ascertain the hardware, operating system and TwinCAT version of the basic CPU module.

The CX2033 and CX2043 basic CPU modules are available with the following software options:

CX20x3-016x: only 4 GB RAM can be used with Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC 32-bit

TwinCAT/BSD® and Beckhoff RT Linux® require at least a 20 GB CFast flash card.

Windows 10 IoT Enterprise requires at least a 40 GB CFast flash card.

Windows 11 IoT Enterprise requires 10 GB of free storage space for future security updates. Depending on the software installed, a memory card with at least 80 GB is therefore recommended. For details, see Infosys.
