Mounting the Industrial PC

Notice

Extreme environmental conditions

Extreme environmental conditions can cause damage to the device.

  • Avoid extreme environmental conditions.
  • Protect the device from moisture and heat.

When installing in the control cabinet, note that there must be 5 cm of free space above and below the device for ventilation of the PC.

Regardless of whether you want to mount the industrial PC inside or outside a control cabinet, this is done using the flexible mounting concept. You must provide the wall intended for mounting with the necessary holes for the fastening screws according to the device dimensions of the PC (see chapter 4.2.1 Dimensions).

After you have drilled the holes for the fastening screws on the corresponding wall, you can now mount the industrial PC using the mounting concept via the rear panel or the side panel.

M4 screws are required to secure the device via the rear panel (1). When fastening via the right-hand side panel, you can insert the screws from two sides. Insert M4 screws via the left-hand side of the device (2). Insert M5 screws via the right-hand side of the device (3) (see Fig. 14).

To install the industrial PC, follow the steps below:

1. Place the industrial PC over the drill holes in the desired orientation.
2. Insert the fastening screws one after the other and screw them tight.
You have successfully installed the industrial PC.

If you have mounted an EtherCAT P Box module directly on the industrial PC (see chapter 4.2.3 Mounting EtherCAT P Box module), you can mount the industrial PC with the module exclusively via the rear panel using M4 screws (see Fig. 15).
