Installation location and environment
This chapter outlines the basic requirements for the installation location and installation environment. You will learn the general requirements necessary for safe installation and reliable operation.
- ►Install the variable frequency drive in an enclosure that complies with the required protection rating for the installation environment.
- ►Keep the installation location free of conductive particles (e.g., metal dust, grinding debris).
- ►Keep the installation location free of corrosive or otherwise chemically aggressive substances.
- ►Take appropriate protective or cleaning measures if contamination cannot be reliably ruled out, e.g., filtering the ventilation system, regular cleaning.
- ►Maintain the required clearance above and below the device.
