S-0-0079 Position resolution

This parameter specifies the number of increments per turn (360°) for rotary motors. The LSB of the position data thus has a weighting of 360° deg / S-0-0079.
For linear motors it specifies the number of increments per pole pitch (e.g. 24 mm). The LSB of the position data thus has a weighting of 24 mm / S-0-0079.

Attributes

In S-0-0076, the AX5000 allows rotary parameter weighting and therefore supports this parameter. Up to interface 203 the following applies: The scaling cannot be changed. The following settings are set: 2²⁰ inc/revolution = 1048576 inc/revolution.
From interface 204 the following applies: The single-turn resolution of the drive can be selected between 20 bits and 30 bits. Example: If the single-turn resolution is set to 22 bits, 10 bits remain for the multi-turn resolution. The overall resolution is 32 bits.
