Magnetic field example The magnetic field of the tiles is shown using the magnetic field of an APS4322-0000 tile as an example and applies to all XPlanar tiles.

The B field is displayed as a function of the distance to the surface of the tile. The B field of the tiles can be regarded as a DC field. The graph shows the field curve for 1 A coil current. The B field scales linearly with the coil current. A field is only placed under the movers. The maximum coil current is 35 A, which corresponds to the maximum short-term coil current.

Example calculations for the B field

At z = 0 and 1 A, the B field is ~0.55 mT

At z = 0 and 35 A, the B field is 19.25 mT
