Change keyboard language
If you want to change the keyboard language, the quickest way is to use the kbdmap command and it applies to the current session. Create an entry in the rc.conf file, so that the language settings remain even after a restart.
Proceed as follows:
- 1. Open the
rc.conffile with thedoas ee /etc/rc.confcommand - 2. Navigate with the arrow keys to the end of the file and add the following line:
keymap="de.kbd". - 3. Use an appropriate country code. In this sample,
deis used as the country code for German.
- The language settings in the
rc.conffile are permanently applied. Restart TwinCAT/BSD withshutdown -r nowfor the changes to take effect. Remove the entry to restore the default settings.
