Overview

The function blocks of the PLC library Tc3_IoTBase can be used to address REST APIs as a client via HTTP/HTTPS communication. Common HTTP commands such as GET, PUT or POST are available for this purpose. In principle, data can be requested from a REST API and also sent to a REST API.

Product components

The TF6760 IoT HTTPS/REST function consists of the following components, which are included by default in the TwinCAT 3 scope of delivery:

• Driver: TcIotDrivers.sys (included with the TwinCAT 3 XAE and XAR setups)
• PLC library: Tc3_IotBase (included in the scope of delivery of the TwinCAT 3 XAE setup)
