Cylinder Design

The Cylinder Design parameter selects the type of hydraulic cylinder and determines how the piston and piston rod diameters are used for force and area calculations.

Differential

The differential cylinder is a double-acting hydraulic cylinder with a single-ended piston rod.

Init Parameter 1:

Synchronous

The synchronous cylinder is a double-acting hydraulic cylinder with a through-rod.

Init Parameter 2:

Plunger

The plunger cylinder is a single-acting hydraulic cylinder without a piston rod.

Init Parameter 3:

Cylinder Bore Diameter

Inner diameter of the hydraulic cylinder bore. Used to calculate the piston area and the force.

Cylinder Rod Diameter

Diameter of the cylinder rod. Relevant for the design of differential and synchronous cylinders when calculating the effective piston area on the rod side.
