The button is used to establish the connection to the drive hardware. Note that drive devices containing both the motor and the encoder are linked via the link button of the higher-level NC axis. Only with separate devices (e.g. encoder terminal/analog output terminal) is the drive output linked at this point.

Type

After a configured drive device or output terminal has been selected, the drive type sets itself to match it.
