Overview

This chapter describes the MTP workload and the optional packages/workloads that you can use in the MTP context.

Functional limitations without a license:

• MTP export Without OPC UA Information
• Services are not taken into account during HMI generation for third-party modules

Workload TE8400 | TwinCAT 3 MTP Engineering

The TE8400 workload has the following package dependencies:

• TwinCAT.XAE.MTP (MTP Engineering)
• TwinCAT.XAE.PLC.Lib.Tc3_MTP (MTP Runtime)
• TwinCAT.HMI.PI.ProcessLibrary
• TwinCAT.Standard.XAE
• TE2000.HMIEngineering.XAE

These packages/workloads are installed as well if they are not already present.

Additional workloads that may be required (Engineering)

• TF6100.OpcUaConfigurator.XAE
• Initialization and configuration of the OPC UA server
• TF4100.ControllerToolbox.XAE
• Targeted updates to the controller toolbox
• TE1300.ScopeViewProfessional.XAE
• Creating scope projects (for use as references in the HMI, if necessary)

Any additional workloads that may be required (target system)

• Provision of MTP variables via OPC UA
