User management

The TwinCAT HMI has a basic user management in the server. This can also establish connections to other user managements via server extensions.

UserManagement

UserManagement is the standard user management of the TwinCAT HMI. It is available on every HMI server and handles the user management of local users.

LDAP

The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) extension can be used to connect to ActiveDirectory. This allows users and user groups to be read out directly and made available in the HMI.

OAuth

The Open Authorization (OAuth) extension can be used to establish a connection to a server with OAuth. This allows users and user groups to be read out directly and made available in the HMI. Login takes place in the background via tokens.

Controls

Users can be displayed and/or edited on the framework side using controls.
