Comment templates

If you want your comments to be structured in a certain way and they are frequently repeated in your measurements, you can create a corresponding template. This function is ideal if, for example, you want to standardize test bench documentation or service assignments for end customers. Right-click on the Scope project node to open the context menu. Select the Add Template Comment entry. In the submenu, you can create new templates, search for existing templates on the hard disk or select already known templates directly. It is then transferred directly to the comment window.

Comment templates 1:

If you want to create a new template, select the New Template command. A new window opens. The plus symbol in the toolbar can be used to create new/additional templates. The name of the template can be found in the top line and can be changed there accordingly. This name is then displayed later in the quick selection in the context menu. This allows a template to be integrated very quickly as a template in the comment window.

Comment templates 2:

The templates can be formatted as required. The corresponding toolboxes are available in the toolbar. The templates are stored in the \TwinCAT\Functions\TE130x-Scope-View\Comments directory as tcmctmpl files.

These can be searched for in other directories using the browse function from the context submenu.
