Device status

Device status 1:
DeviceStatus

This window provides an overview of the status of the declared devices and can be used to monitor the progress of the triggered updates. The overview shows each device from each group. It also shows briefly which users and Netshare folders are allocated to the individual devices and the current device status.

The displayed values may differ from the actual values. In this case simply use the “Refresh” function in the context menu to update the values.

Column "Update State"

The column "Update State" can display up to 5 different states:

Description

Idle

Device is ready for updates (always appears after the device has been started/restarted)

Timout (highlighted in Yellow)

Client software of the TwinCAT Management Server is not installed on the device (CE installation file *.cap was not executed on the device) or the device is currently not accessible.

Error (highlighted in red)

An error occurred during the update. A more detailed error description can be found in the “Device Log” for the respective device.

Finished (highlighted in green)

The update was successful. The device is ready for further updates.

InProgress

The device is currently being updated.

Column "Connected"

Column "Connected" indicates whether the device is accessible via ADS, whether the client software of the TwinCAT Management Server is installed on the device, and whether or not the device is included in an update for its group.
