Network Environment

In the network environment all devices are listed that were found in the network. Devices which have an ADS route on your PC are identified with an X in column "Connected". The NetID, IP address, TwinCAT version and the operating system of the devices that are found are also listed.

The small symbols on the left-hand side indicate which devices are available, available and associated with a route, or not available. The device status can be updated at any time via "Refresh". See below for further details of the "Refresh" procedure.

Context menu

The context menu may vary, depending on the status of the selected device. The following diagram shows all possible context options.

WebConfiguration ...

TcWebAccess: Web-based diagnostics and configuration interface. The main device settings can be implemented here

Remote Desktop ...

This option enables remote control of CE devices.

 

 

Ping

Checks whether the selected device is accessible in the IP network.

AdsPing

Checks whether the selected device is accessible in the network via ADS.

 

 

Edit Remote Process commands ...

A further dialog enables editing of processes that are to be started on the selected device. The created processes can be started quickly and conveniently from the context menu.

Start Remote Process ...

Starts processes on the selected device

 

 

ShutDown ...

Shuts down the selected device.

Config mode ...

Switches the TwinCAT system of the selected device to Config mode.

Restart System ...

Restarts the TwinCAT systems on the selected device.

 

 

Show target routes ...

Lists the configured Sub ADS routes for the selected device in a new dialog.

Remove route ...

If a route exists on the host PC for the selected device it can be deleted with this menu item.

 

 

Find Targets ...

A new dialog enables explicit searches for further devices.

Refresh

Refreshes the list of devices and their status.

 

 

Properties ...

Lists TwinCAT, image, and hardware information for selected device, if possible.
