Overview of the processes
The following table once again gives an overview of the available processes and the method to determine the contouring parameter.
Contouring parameter | Automatic contouring 1 | Automatic contouring 2 | Distance contouring | Corner deviation contouring | Interim point contouring | Dynamic |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Pre-distance/ | auto | auto | by the user | auto | by the user | by the user |
Corner | by the user | cannot be parametered | cannot be parametered | by the user | cannot be parametered | cannot be parametered |
Interim point | auto | auto | auto | auto | by the user | auto |
The following diagram helps to find the suiting contouring type for a given used case. In each case the polynomic contouring is a compromise between deviation from original contour and reduction of velocity (curvature-continuous).
