Controller Settings
By clicking on a controller in the navigation tree the settings of it can be accessed.
General
- Name: The name of the element can be changed here.
- Id: The unique Id of this element.
- Type: The type of this element.
- Comment: Add comments about this element here.
- Disabled: Check this box to disable this element in the current configuration.
Settings
- Search (Ethernet)...: Please enter the hostname or the IP address of the controller into the right text box and click onto the button to test this input.
- Choose Local Host: Can be used as an alternative for Search Ethernet... and entries the local TwinCAT host as controller.
- Host Name: The complete host name of the controller. Is displayed when the input above is successfully.
- IP Address: The IP address of the controller. Is displayed when the input above is successfully.
- AMS Net Id: The detected AMS Net Id of the controller. Is displayed if the input was successful.
- User Name: Name of user with administration rights on the target device.
- Password: Password for the user.
- Save I/O Configuration (TSM-File): Check this box to create a TwinCAT System Manager compatible *.tsm file if the project is activated. The *.tsm file is stored with the name of the target at the place where the BAM project exists.
- Suppress Ping for check of Online State: If the controller has a firewall that is set to prevent ping transfer, error messages may be generated despite the fact that the communication with TwinCAT operates normally. In this case this setting can be used to suppress the ping.
- Bind the network variables to the following Ethernet Adapter: Select an Ethernet adapter to which the network variables are to be linked.
Route Settings
- Lists all TwinCAT route entries of the target controller.
Online
- Provides live data of the controller.
