ITcTypeInstance6::SetValueToString

Parses text according to the specified format into the binary representation of the type. If successful, a byte SAFEARRAY matching the size of the type is returned as VARIANT.

Parameter

formatIdx	ULONG	[in, defaultvalue(0)] 0-based format index.

Return value

pvData	VARIANT*	[out, retval] Byte `SAFEARRAY` containing the binary representation of the value.
(HRESULT)	HRESULT	`S_OK` if successful, otherwise an error code.

Error codes

E_POINTER: pvData is NULL.
ADS_E_INVALIDDATA: text could not be converted to a valid binary representation of the type.
