ITcSmTreeItem::ExportChild

Exports a direct child to an .xti file. If bstrName is empty, the current item itself is exported. If a target path is specified, the target folder must exist and the file must not already be present.

HRESULT ExportChild(BSTR bstrName, BSTR bstrFile);

Parameter

Name	Type	Description
bstrName	BSTR	[in] Name of the child to be exported. If the string is empty, the current item is exported.
bstrFile	BSTR	[in, defaultvalue(L"")] Target path. An empty path uses the default behavior of the item export logic.

Return value

Name	Type	Description
(HRESULT)	HRESULT	`S_OK` if successful, otherwise an error code.

Error codes

E_INVALIDARG: The target folder does not exist, or the target file already exists.
TSM_E_ITEMNOTFOUND: No direct child was found with bstrName.
E_POINTER: The child found could not be queried internally as a Tree Item.
TSM_E_ITEMDELETED: The referenced Tree Item is no longer valid.
