CX1000-N003 audio module

From version 1.00 the drivers for the CX1000-N003 audio module are included in the LF (CX1800-0200)*, HMI (CX1800-0201)* and .NET (CX1800-0202) images.

The drivers were deactivated in the Control Panel and have to be reactivated if the CX1000-N003 audio module is used.

The driver can be activated or deactivated in the Device Manager (Start-->Control Panel-->System-->Hardware-->Device Manager).

CX1000-N003 audio module 1:

The audio driver is installed under "Sound, video and game controllers". It is called "Geode - Native Mode Audio Driver (Windows XP/2000)". The red cross through the speaker symbol / audio driver indicates that the device is deactivated. The driver can be enabled via the right mouse button. Alternatively, it can be switched on via the Action menu of the Device Manager.

Note:

The "Geode - Native Mode Audio Driver (WindowsXP/2000)" Version 1.0.10.0 is used in the CX1000 LF (CX1800-0200), HMI (CX1800-0201) und .NET (CX1800-0202) images from Version 1.00 - 1.10 . This driver should only be activated if the CX1000-N003 audio module is connected. If the sound driver is activated without the audio module being connected Windows XP Embedded will not start.

From version 1.1.50.0 of the "Geode - Native Mode Audio Driver (Windows XP/2000)" it is no longer necessary to deactivate the driver in the Device Manager if the CX1000 has no CX1000-N003 audio module connected to it. This driver is used in the LF (CX1800-0200), HMI (CX1800-0201) and .NET (CX1800-0202) images from version 1.12.
