Adjust the screen resolution

In the Windows Embedded Display properties screen resolutions of 800 by 600 pixels and more can be chosen. The Beckhoff default images for embedded PCs offers two ways to change the screen resolution of the attached display:

Change the screen resolution with the display properties window
Change the screen resolution with the CXD utlility

Change the screen resolution with the display properties window

To change the resolution to 640 x 480 pixels, the following steps have to be done:

Step 1:

Click the button "Advanced" on the tab "Settings" in the display properties.

Adjust the screen resolution 1:

Step 2:

Click the button "List all modes..." on the tab "Adapter".

Adjust the screen resolution 2:

Step 3:

This window lists all modes. Here it is possible to choose the resolution of 640 x 480 pixels.

Change the screen resolution with the CXD utlility

To change the screen resolution to 640x480 pixels of embedded PC with Beckhoff Windows Embedded default image running on it, just type "cxd 1" and enter.
