Post-install language packs

You have the possibility to install language packs afterwards on your industrial PC. There are two options available for this.

Installation with an existing Internet connection: If you have access to the Internet with the PC, you can use the Windows Update service and install the desired language packs.
Installation without Internet connection: If you do not have access to the Internet with the PC, you can perform offline installations of the desired language packs.

The procedures of the two options are described below. For both options you need to follow the first steps equally:

1. Open the Region and Language settings and click Install/uninstall languages.

2. Select Install display languages.

You can now choose one of the two mentioned options to install language packs.

Option 1: Installation with existing Internet connection

In this case, you can use Windows Update to install the language packs.

1. Select Launch Windows Update.

2. Check for updates to show you available language packs.

3. Select the language packs you want to install.

4. Confirm your selection and click Install udpates.

5. Wait until the installation is completed successfully.

6. After successful installation, open the Region and Language settings again. Now you can select the installed language in the drop-down box.

You have installed a language pack via Windows Update.

You can request additional language packs from the Beckhoff service department: service@beckhoff.com

1. Select Browse computer or network in the dialog.

2. Click Browse... and navigate to the language pack. Select the desired language and click Next.

3. Accept the license terms.

4. Wait until the installation is completed successfully.

5. Click Next when the installation is complete.

6. After successful installation, open the Region and Language settings again. Now you can select the installed language in the drop-down box.

You have installed a language pack offline.
