Product overview

Beckhoff offers the option of adding an RFID reader to many devices. A distinction is made between iDTRONIC-based and Baltech-based RFID readers. To find out which of the above modules your RFID reader is based on, check the Ports (COM & LPT) section in the Device Manager of your Windows operating system.

If the RFID reader is recognized as a "Smartcard Reader" by default or appears as an "HID keyboard", it is already set to USB keyboard emulation. In this case, the RFID reader is based on a Baltech module.
