Installation

The driver for the RFID reader is already pre-installed on Beckhoff Industrial PCs. The RFID reader appears under Windows-based systems as "Silicon Labs CP21x USB to UART Bridge (COMx)" in the device manager.

Under TwinCAT/BSD, the RFID reader appears under "/dev/" as ttyU0 (or numerically following if other serial devices are already connected).

The default settings for the serial interface in the further procedure are:

9600 baud, 8 databits, 1 stop bit, no parity
