Deleting the RAID system via BIOS

This method deletes the RAID system via the BIOS. The storage media can then be used separately again. You can delete a RAID system on industrial PCs with Intel Core I CPUs from the 9th generation via the BIOS.

Deleting the RAID system via UEFI BIOS

To delete a RAID system through the UEFI BIOS, follow the steps below:

1. Start the device and press & hold [DEL] while the device starts up.
The BIOS appears.
2. Go to the tab Advanced using the [arrow keys] .
3. Use the [arrow keys] to go to Intel (R) Rapid Storage Technology and confirm with [Enter].

4. Use the [arrow keys] to go to the RAID system you want to delete and confirm with [Enter].
5. Use the [arrow keys] to go to the RAID Member Disk that you want to remove on the RAID system and confirm with [Enter].
6. Select Reset to non-RAID with [Enter]. Do NOT select delete, because in that case you will delete the data on the storage medium.
7. Confirm this question with Yes.
8. Repeat the last three steps for the second storage medium of the RAID system.
The RAID system has been deleted. The storage media are listed as Non-RAID Physical Disks .
